Theme Thursday- Location

This is a new meme hosted by kavyen at Reading between Pages.. “Theme Thursdays” will be open from one thursday to the next and anyone can post it. The rules are simple:

* A theme will be posted each week (on Thursday’s)
* Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
* Post it and don’t forget to mention the author and the title of the book
* Since we may take a few days to finish a book, this event is open for one whole week

This will give us a wonderful opportunity to explore and understand different writing styles and descriptive approaches adopted by authors.

This week’s theme is – LOCATION (reference to the location where the story is happening)

This week one of the books I'm reading...

Ophelia rolled her eyes and didn't complain when he swept her off  her feet and carried her to his truck. It was Alaskan chivalry to keep a lady's bare ankles out of the snow. " Can you please take those plastic fangs out? They're ridiculous."

Thoughts: Hilarious Martin is so weirdly over- protective. Love-and-hate-it.  And the Location is--Alaska.

And the book is

A paranormal romance ......

Sugar Rush (The Dawson Chronicles) by Kimber An
Kimber An's writing is care-free but completely sweet romantic. I love it and her story unfolds in tune with the characters and plot. Sugar Rush I'm very much enjoying.

Running and screaming will have to wait. A blood-sucking dead guy may be a vampire to you, but he’s an alien/human hybrid to Ophelia and she really must examine his olfactory nerve under a microscope first.

Ophelia longs to be free, free of Diabetes, free of her ex-boyfriend, free to live. She loves Adrian, but she loved Martin once too. Something transformed Martin and made her his drug. If he has his way, she’ll never achieve the freedom to learn his true nature and origin.

Adrian’s the new guy in school. He faked his identity to get close to Ophelia, because he knew the monsters who took his Diabetic sister would try to take her too. Then, he’d have them. But, he knew better than to get too close.

Oh, yeah, he did. Seriously.

All Sweets are really beautiful, but when Adrian masks himself for a costume party Ophelia kisses him like he’s the hottest boy on the planet. Then, her beloved, Diabetic father is murdered and he realizes she’s next. He closes the distance fast, but it’s complicated protecting a girlfriend who’s into lightsabers and photon torpedoes. For instance, she totally does not get the whole vampire seduction thing. When one visits her bedroom at night, she addicts him to Nintendo DS.
