A Review of The Last Song 

This was such an enjoyable watch. Having read the novel first for the anticipation for the actual movie. The movie adaptation follows the novel really well except in a few events that are different. While still, it managed to get across the entirety of the message of redeemption and budding young love from different worlds.

Ronnie is a rebellious teen girl. As her parents diverged a while back she hasn't been able to let go. So, during the summer, as she is brisked off with her dad she isn't thrilled to spend time with him all while in Georgia (U.S., yes, the movie takes place in Georgia where I live!). Ronnie (Miley Cyrus) by chance encounter meets Will. A boy who is captivated by her and the new fresh personality that Ronnie brings. As their relationship grows  from new friends to real love.  There along the way are problems from Will's and Ronnie's friends. All of which is topped off by Will's guilty past involving Ronnie's own father.

Ronnie's father hides his own secrets from the family. He does it for a reason. Which is really sad. While the movie is propelled by Ronnie and Will's love it doesn't compare to the family's connection to each other. Ronnie's younger brother is an understanding little boy that is hilarious in his innocence when he remarks on grown-up comments. He's played by Bobby Coleman. The role is played really well which was adorable. Of all Miley Cyrus impressed. She is suited not as an actor, but as a singer. Although, this role for Miley Cyrus was good because of its Southern accentuation which goes perfectly with Miley Cyrus's prominent country voice. Props to Miley. 

For the most part, The Last Song, was an immensely well-crafted movie. The romance was convincingly sweet. The family issues included along with other obstacles in the movie are very realistic. Some people can even relate to maybe similar struggles. With new faces of (Liam Hemsworth) making it much more entertaining. 

Recommendable to various audiences. it's young love at its peak.
