Fade is a much more action-packed than most books in the Wake series. Janie's perspective is much more emotionally, in-depth. Janie is really confused on what a dreamcatcher really is. It's only natural that as the book moves forward she becomes very interested in a way to stop walking into other people's dreams. After all, dream walking can be overwhelming.
You'd expect that to be a cool power but think again. Janie's determination lead her to the truth in the end. Although what she finds she doesn't really like. Janie must accept her fate or keep trying to fight it. All this makes for an exciting plot.
Fade added a lot of personality to Caleb and Janie. They seem to finally reach a good balance but there is still frustration at Janie's predicament. The story feels very intense at times too which readers should find enjoyable. Fade is the second in Wake series which really feels the most complete out of all three in the series. A good recommended read in science fiction.
