A Review of Star Trek Volume 1
Having seen the Star Trek movie (2009). Was really interested in reading Star Trek Vol. 1 by Mike Johnson.

The story picks up when the crew of Star Trek is traveling in their spaceship. They encounter an unforseen presence (lets just say so as to not reveal so much). And one of the crew members gets possessed by this unforseen presence and its implied the crew may be in real danger. The first volume ends to be continued in Volume 2...
There was a lot that was nostalgic in this volume particularly, Captain Kirk, who has this sarcastic and very obvious charasmatic personality to him. While Spock is the complete opposite to Kirk and is as logical as ever. He is always being really the one to point out the obvious to Kirk even he doesn't always want to hear it.  Uhura wasn't a major presence in this volume. She's still looking beautiful in addition to being the loyal colleague of both Captain Kirk and Spock. So, really liked revisiting Star Trek. Even though am not a hardcore Trekie have an awareness of its following. Well, really only made aware to it with the  Star Trek movie (2009)  of which later found was the alternate version of the original Star Trek show. Nonetheless have a good appreciation for Star Trek in general and hope to someday see the whole original show's seasons one of these days.
Volume 1 was particularly interesting since didn't know how it would translate from its t.v./movie adaptations but actually does quite fine. The artwork pictured [above] really is bright and attractive. Really scifi-esque. Looking forward to Volume 2 very much!

Overall: Amazing read!
