[Veteran Book Blogger Tips] Are You made for the Pressures of Full-Time Book Blogging?

When I mean full-time book blogging I am referring to book blogging where you review books for authors and publishers whether small press or big press all while you might have school or work to attend to along the way. I differentiate this from part-time book blogging, where you are doing this merely for fun and where you might possibly one day disappear after you have had enough of book blogging including deleting your blog.

If there is one misconception of the blogging world it is that blogging is not work. Which is something I am always trying to point out to people as incorrect when I come across them online. It's not easy and it is work. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't done it themselves or done it consistently without stopping for years.

Sure there a lot of benefits to book blogging like discovering new books, authors, meeting other book bloggers, and getting free books or ARCs. But all this has a price. Your time ensuring you are always somewhat harried to get out reviews in a certain time-frame. Of course, this will invariably push your reading habits into overdrive making you want to read faster and faster so that you complete certain books that you often times have requested from authors or publishers. And it's alright. At this point, I have accepted this as part of being a full-time book blogger. If you're ok with these types of pressures then you are worthy of being in the ranks of book bloggers in the blogosphere.
