T.V. Casual Talk:The Secret Circle on The CW "Pilot"

                                      Official CW Show Overview
Cassie Blake was a happy, normal teenage girl - until her mother Amelia dies in what appears to be a tragic accidental fire. Orphaned and deeply saddened, Cassie moves in with her warm and loving grandmother Jane in the beautiful small town of Chance Harbor, Washington - the town her mother left so many years before - where the residents seem to know more about Cassie than she does about herself. As Cassie gets to know her high school classmates, including sweet-natured Diana and her handsome boyfriend Adam, brooding loner Nick, mean-girl Faye and her sidekick Melissa, strange and frightening things begin to happen. When her new friends explain that they are all descended from powerful witches, and they've been waiting for Cassie to join them and complete a new generation of the Secret Circle, Cassie refuses to believe them - until Adam.

                                                          About The Secret Circle
From the co-producers that brought you the amazingly entertaining "The Vampire Diaries" comes  "The Secret Circle". This has been a much anticipated show by many. Have read it around many blogs and on television the praise has been overflowing. Premiered On The CW, television station that has the hottest shows with a close-knit community to its viewers, on September 15, 2011 at 9 p.m. The show's episodes will come out every Thursday at 9.pm (U.S schedule) on The CW. The Secret Circle was just really good from the beginning with its alluring music scores. Even the eerie signature tune for the series goes along well in  the show's atmosphere. On the acting and general story, Cassie Blake played by well-known actress Britt Robertson is just on pitch. She does seem to channel the new girl type that has no idea that her family are practioners of magic for many generations. Even the boy (played by actor Thomas Dekker) she's drawn to knows more about her and his family. Our protagonist as you'd expect doesn't react well to hearing she's a witch. Cassie is a true believer of not believing  in magic but her new friends assure her ,she has the gift. The Gift isn't further explained though except maybe ,that it is inside the members of The Secret Circle who are Cassie, Diana, Adam, Nick, Melissa, and Faye. Although members from the last Secret Circle seem to still retain their powers. From "The Pilot", we learn a lot. There is a whole past involved with these practioners of magic  but they all have things they still keep hidden. Why isn't yet revealed. Diana's dad played by Gale Harold does come across as the evil witch man perfectly. He's both a willing user of magic and cunning. Throughout, the show's pilot we see he's always keeping a close watch on Cassie. Cassie , herself, appears to have returned only to their little town , so she can complete The Circle and in doing so somehow increase their powers. To Faye ,the second in leadership in The Circle next to Diana, it's the only reason Cassie is of any use to them. Faye from all the other members is the one most in love with the power of "The Secret Circle" bringing  her in conflict with the others. But of all of the members Cassie is the most vulnerable, her mother, before dying left a note reminding her that inside of her, she has immense power which will draw others to her and bring along danger too.

                                                                  Final Thoughts
The Secret Circle was perfect in its first episode. It managed to have a chiil factor but you can count on wanting to be pulled into uncovering all the history of the witch families. For many it will be an appetizer that's just delicious! The cast, and I mean all of it, looks fitting to each of their characters. Would recommend watching again on The CW at 9p.m. (U.S schedule) on Thursdays.
