So, if you have read this novel by Lisa See you know what I'm talking about. Lisa See has had other novels of which Snowflower and the Secret Fan being the most known. Peony In Love being next and it's also a continuation of Snowflower. The movie will be directed by the same director of a previous film called The Joy Luck Club. I've not seen it myself so don't know what to say for whether he's up to the challenge. On a sypnosis of the film:Director Wayne Wang and screenwriter Ronald Bass effectively interweave sixteen mother-daughter tales in their silken film version of Amy Tan's best-selling novel about the clash between generations.
Snowflower and the Secret Fan is a really touching novel. Full of moments that are sad but in the center are two young Chinese girls that go through it all together. They lose things precious to them but hold on to their hopes. I'm so happy I found out one of my favorite novels is going to film. While on goodreads.com---The really cool online booksite-- I saw an ad for the movie. Thank you, goodreads.com, your much loved! Checked myself and clicked. Ah! the trailer is just amazing. It's so pretty. It made me cry. It was beautifully narrated. Really want to see it. If I get around to watching it--I will do....eventually I'll be sure to post a review of something along the lines of book vs. movie comparison. Been seeing I've not posted a lot of movie reviews. Ooops! Well, I love my books, so, ha....ha....ha...
