Why To Watch: If you like anime movies like Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Castle in the Sky, Kiki's Delivery Service, and Howl's Moving Castle. You'll like this anime movie as well. Different but impressive.

The Girl Who leapt Through Time is about three friends Makoto, Chiaki, and Kouske who are unintentionally caught in time travel. Makoto is the only girl in the group and therefore as they grow up ever more romantic feelings are slowly cropping up. Makoto finds a nut-shaped device while after-school. At the time, she doesn't realize just how powerful it is. So when one of her guy friends incessantly keeps asking her out, the device, helps her stop time and return to a time before the situation of her guy friend asking her out. Having done this she becomes The Girl Who Leapt Through Time. Makoto doesn't see at the time that this time-triggering will affect those around her in a not-so positive way!

The movie very much has a water-colory texture to it. It's definitely anime but has a unique look to it. The best part of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time would have to be its concept of time travel that is realized through leaping through time. An interesting idea. The movie also has a cheerful hilarious look of social situations. While occasionally serious when concerning the issue of time travel it's mostly breezy (light) in manner. This is an easy anime movie to follow that is enjoyable. Make time some day to see for sure!

I love a good anime series too, like especially that they take time to conclude and build on the story and characters.
