My To Five Anime: No.1: Ah! My Goddess!

Let me just start off by saying that Ah! My Goddess! is my favorite anime and favorite manga  to date. It has kept this rank since the first time I watched an episode back in 2006.
There are so many things I love about this series. I love the artwork, I the dialogue, the romance, the general story line, and, most of all, I LOVE the characters.
It's quite ironic, as the story is meant to focus on Kiechi and Belldandy, yet my favorite characters are Urd and Hild. I will find myself reading the manga or watching my favorite episodes just for a glimpse of these hilarious characters.
Urd is Belldandy's older half sister, and is half Goddess and half Demon.  I don't want to give too much away, but lets just say that this is a constant source of interest in the series, and always causes problems. I always find that the Urd centric parts of the series are the best as well. ;P
Hild is Urd's mother and (Spoiler alert!) the ruler of demons. She's like... A more insane version of Urd. Whenever she's around, trouble is sure to follow, as well as hilarity.
The main characters (Belldandy and Keichi) are good too, I just don't find them nearly as good as their demonic counterparts.
They also have the most irritating romance of any book, movie, manga or anime I've ever seen. It's so frustrating, that my friends and I have found ourselves yelling at the screen or throwing our manga across the room. Seriously. It's great though, because it really keeps you reading/watching, hoping to finally, finally, see them break out of their "kindergarten level romance" and into something more.
The other main supporting characters are Skuld, Urd and Belldandy's kid sister, Megumi, Kiechi's younger sister and Mara, a demon who is constantly trying to get to the goddesses, and is also used as comic relief.
What I love about this series, is that the supporting characters really make the story. Great main characters are good, I mean, just look at the success of Twilight! (take that how you will), but when a main hero/heroin can go to their sister/brother/friend and that character can truly make a contribution to the story, that's what I want to see.
The way the novel progresses isn't like in a book where the entire series is leading up to one cataclysmic event. Instead there are a lot of little, "major" events that make up the story.
There are two seasons of Ah! My Goddess and I still hold out hope that a third will be made. It's just that good.
 Seriously guys, go watch this!

A  Noein: To Your Other Self Review
Noein: To Your Other Self  Episode Count:  24 episodes

Noein: To Your Self is one unique science fiction anime series watch. The charater designs are rather funny-looking because they can appear almost comics-like but much more bright and colorful. The anime series is driven by alternate realities. Haruka Kaminogi the lead character is a girl that has died in many of her realities and in a present reality that diverges in the endless flow of parallel dimensions , Yuu Gotō
, a friend of has decided he wont be like the other him's and letting her die. He'll try evrything, so she survives and lives.

The animation of Noein: To Your Other Self was such a surprise from the beginning. It's a styles that greatly differs from many animes out there and would be a big plus for any anime fan. Then the story itself is a strong one and actually with Noein: To Your Other Self was first introduced to the concept of parallel: alternate realities in this anime.

See: Parallel Worlds by Michio Kaku (a Book)

Noein: To Your Other Self has a lot of twists and turns in reference to its story. A lot of what appears one way omes out not being what it is. This anime is very serious and full of the feel of urgency. Even so like in most animes it does contain small moments of humor. Really a recommended watch overall. For those anime fans who like Science Fiction.

Overall: Amazing Watch!

Genre: Science Fiction, Romance
Topics: Parallel/Alternate Realities

Anime Soundtrack Side-note: The Opening Theme song is  "Idea" by eufonius  has to be one of the biggest melodic and most beautiful opening songs in anime out there. Really would cause you to become speechless. Wonderful!

The Ending Theme is "Yoake no Ashioto" by solua which find has a playful sound to it and almost surreal. Goes well with Noein: To Your Other Self.

A Darker Than Black Review
Darker Than Black Episode Count: 26 episodes

Darker Than Black was one of the anime watches you sometimes stumble on and don't realize until later is pretty fantastic. Going in there were no expectations since there wasn't anything to go by. It was completely new. From our introduction to the world of Darker Than Black. Soon, you are brought up to speed on what's going on. In what's considered the world everyone lives in a few years back The Gates started to appear turning groups of regular everyday people into something other than human. They became either contractors, medatoriums, and or dolls. All of which, who aren't exactly entirely human. It's a really intriguing premise which delivers finely throughout the series.

A Blood + Review
Blood + Episode Count: 50 episodes

Saya & Haji
Saya Otanashi is so far just an amnesiac teenage girl. Yet, behind the surface she comes to discover in an event that will change her life forever that she isn't human at all. Saya is a member of chiropracterans (vampires but like the type you'd never expect at all, way freakier). These chiropterans live on blood and murder humans. She's also one of the few of her species. She alone can destroy these ugly monsters. Her blood contains amazing attributes that eventually destroy them. Saya must for the most part throughout struggle to recall her origins along with her very attractive protector Haji. Who I should say is bound to her most of the time. Nobody is willing who knows of what Saya is capable to tell her because as you soon realize is a closely guarded secret for a reason. That's until, BAM!, we are introduced to Diva. Diva is Saya's sister. She couldn't be bothered. What she reveals to Saya and not at all gently turns Saya's world into a void of uncertainty. Saya somehow finds the strength to get over her past which is very turbulent. As we travel with Saya in the series, her adoptive human family, also make themselves available to assist her in destroying the chiropterans that are very bloodthirsty. Blood + has some of the most appealing animation I have witnessed. Contains the best drama which includes plot twists just so you know. In short an amazing anime watch that fans of anime with a taste of Science Fiction will love forever. Recommend so much!
