In City of Glass, we are taken into the Shadowhunter's native home. Clary and Jace search for answers to find out the origins to the reason for their abnormal shadowhunter powers. The reasons may despair even the strongest hearts. While Jace becomes more withdrawn, Clary, becomes more determined for answers. Clary's adventures in learning the truth prove engrossing if not dangerous. In the end everything leads back to Valentine who is planning something big in the City of Glass. Clary and Jace must stay together now more than ever to stop him at all costs.

Cassandra Clare was born overseas and spent her early years traveling around the world with her family and several trunks of fantasy books. Cassandra worked for several years as an entertainment journalist for the Hollywood Reporter before turning her attention to fiction. She is the author of City of Bones, the first book in the Mortal Instruments trilogy and a New York Times bestseller. Cassandra lives with her fiance and their two cats in Massachusetts.
